cigar lighter
i own a 2001 ford f150 supercrew, 2wd 4.6L. i'm having problems with my power points. my cigar lighter works fine, and i've checked fuses and they seem to be ok. one day they worked and the next they didnt, but like i said, the cigar lighter is still working as far as heating up the lighter. even when i plug my cell phone charger into the cigar lighter it doesnt work. i would like some advice or suggestions on what the problem could be. thanks alot

Since you have both a power point and a cigar lighter just use the power point. I dont recommend using a lighter socket because the tabs are not made to use with power receptacles. I recommend if you have multiple items to power up in the power point then you need to get a splitter from Radio Shack.
Check all the fuses in the power distribution box and the main box. I believe the power points use a separate fuse. I know the rear one is in the under the hood power distribution box but Im not sure about the front one.
