overhead console.
does anyone know where i can get an oem overhead console with compass/temp/mpg and all that for the truck in my sig
what wiring would i need to hook it up.
as far as functionality, i know the compass and temp will work, but can the mpg function be used as well if the truck did not come with the console?

I've been looking at the same thing on e bay and all I can find are f150 ones. I may even have to get a tan one and paint it. I would like to know if the MPG can be connected also.

I've seen a few on e bay that came with the whole 4' wiring harness. If no one has ever done this before I may just buy one and figure out if there is a place to connect the harness under the dash. If not I know I can get the compass and temp gauge to work.
Maybe someone who has this option would know where the wiring harness plugs into?

I never did this, but if I remember from way back the wiring harness plugs into an exixting connection behind the passenger kick panel.

Now, if we could only get a picture of the plug in so I could see if I have the same open plug in on my harness.

I can help you guys, here is a picture! also for the MPG to work you need to take it to the dealer to have it calibrated.

So, do you know if/where the wiring harness is for the overhead console if the truck was not equipped with one from the factory? Thanks, Dale

I was going to try and check this weekend, I've just been busy lately, hopefully I can find an empty plug in there somewhere, we'll see...

Just need to know if you have cab lights also, if you have no cab lights and no overhead console, there is no wire, if you are just wanting to run the console w/o lights then you add the loom and run it down the "A" pillar and it plugs into a loom under the kick panel. If you have cab lights, still have to replace the loom that has the wire for the over head console.
