The primary reason behind ceramic pads is to reduce the amount of black brake dust. I don't belive any manuf reccomends them for performance application, and some cheap ones can get very noisy. I wouldn't use them myself.
I've read alot of people using powerslot rotors, they don't warp like the stock rotors have a tendency to do. And hawk brake pads. One of our sponsors carry them and tirerack.com also does. From what i've read everyone has had good results with this combo and i will be installing them in the begining of the year.
If you're looking for improved braking performance don't use them. Take a look at the Hawk pads in the LTS compound, best we have found for the trucks. While you're at it the Powerslots cyro'ed rotors are great replacements that don't warp like a stock rotor will. Give us a call, we have lots of experiecnce with them if you have questions etc.
I agree. My shop tried these on my work truck, and I was very dis-pleased with them. Not only did they not perform that well, but there seemed to be a "break-in" period when you had to be careful to allow for additional braking distance....not a great product in my opinion
