93' Ranger stalling problem.
I just found this forum and figured you all would give me the best advice. I have a 93' Ranger that will startup without any problem but then dies in less than a minute. If I rev the engine up to 2000 rpm I can see the tacometer drop but it wont dies as long as Im giving it gas. After a minute or two the engine is pretty warmed up and it will run fine. I never had to work on cars before so I didnt want to go poking around without some help. Any advice would be helpful.

Is the CEL on? If so check for codes. If not - sounds like the IAC ( Idle control Motor ) motor is not working.
Some have cleaned them with good results but I would suggest replaceing it as it will do it again.
I have found that if I tap it with a hammer LIGHTLY! it will work but will stick again soon.
