I don't have a picture, but a story. A few years ago, maybe 10, I saw that the real truck sold at a collector auction for around $8000. I've always wished I could have bought it and shared it with my Dad.
You got a good eye there Barry!
If you also look real close at the front hood "vent" moulding in the picture, you can make out the "FORD" letters on it, making it a '51 for sure. The '52 had a "2 hole vent" moulding, and the F-O-R-D letters mounted below the hood and above the grille.

I am impressed with the knowledge that can be gained from that photo. But I must say, with the my tongue firmly in my cheek, you guys do realize that there is beer and women out there right LOLOLOLOL
thanks for all the help guys.... I actually new Sanford's truck was a '51.... that's why I was helping my friend make his '51 a replica! As with the rest of you, the hood emblem alone told the year and I was aware of the deluxe trim as well..... OH CRAP....maybe I should get out more!!!
Seriously... what I need is a good shot of the "logo" on the doors...
I think this is what you want. Hope it helps. Linda.
Linda, if you try to insert a picture into a post, it has to be stored somewhere on the internet so that the program can go get it when it loads on someone eles's computer.
If you attach the picture, it shows up under your message. The software "uploads" the image to the FTE server, and it is available whenever anyone reads the post.
Please do another post, and just attach the image to it.
God Bless, Redd Foxx and Demond Wilson . Fred would say "My old truck is worth how much? Ohhhhh Elizabeth! This is the BIG one!" Good Luck on your 1951 F-1 truck and make Fred & Lamont proud.
