Dog Question
Does your dog like to ride in your truck? My dog loves it. I can't pickup my keys without him running around my feet& dancing the happy dance. He was asleep in the back of the house today when I decided to go to the store. He heard me get my keys & he beat me to the door. I tryed to be real quiet but he still heard me. He is real good when he rides so I take him everywere I can. Anyone else have a dog that loves to ride?

My dog thinks its his truck. He is smart too. I can ask if he wants to go to work & he gets in my work van. I don't know how he figured that one. He did it the first time I asked about going to work Snickers has been all over the country. He has been to 6 states & has over 7000 miles under his paws in the 14 months since I adopted him.

Please tell me they ride with you inside the cab. Every now and then ill see someone with their dog in the back of the truck, and i think "ok thats cool if hes restrained to the bed so that he cant get out and hurt himself." Then sure enough ill see the dog jump up on the toolbox while the dude is driving around. Am i crazy or is that not safe for the dog?

here is Jake and Mandy after about 10 hours of scouting for Elk Newt and K.C. arre on the other side of the truck, can't leave without any of them. when I leave for work I am always looking at 8 sad eyes.

Car or truck makes no difference.
Once they hear Car ride.. or see me put my shoes on..they will go nuts.
sometimes so bad they won't let me put their harness on for the walk out.
I think they like riding in the car more since they can se every direction.
This is their....are you taking us for a ride ....look

When she sees the shoes go on, the wiggle starts. Truck or wagon, doesn't matter. In the truck she has her hind on the jump seat and her front legs on the console box, and is either looking out the front window or has her head on my shoulder. In the wagon, she's got a doggy mattress in the wayback, but usually is lying on the front seat with her head in my lap.

My dog loves to ride but I do not let him in the truck, so he rides in the van. Sits on the passenger seat or sleeps on the passenger floor. Every evening I take him for the walk we pass the van and he pauses at the side door, hoping.

Mil1ion I bet you can't turn those little guys down. I have a little Shih Tzu. Snickers knows how to use those begging eyes too. I never put him in the back of my truck. When I had big dogs for hunting I carried them in a cage in the bed to protect them from the wind & cold.
