Please help, climate control
Hello all, Im new to this forum. Im going to ask a question that no one in another ford forum seem to have an answer for. I have a 2002 f150 lariat with climate control. When Max Ac is pressed the air blows out of the defrost vents not the regular vents. If I press vent I get just outside air fully through the vents (like it should) All other function work as they should, just can not get the Ac to blow through the vents only, any help would be great, thanks!

The only thing that changes in MAX AC is the recirculation door moves to recirc position. You appear to be getting a major vacuum leak at the MAX position. I would check the vacuum line to the recirc door and ensure it is plugged into the vacuum actuator, check the actuator for leaks and the line itself. IF all the vacuum lines and the actuator check out then the control head appears to be defective.
