Hey guys, my brake woes continue. My abs light is still on even though I just replaced the rear differential sensor and the $485 abs module. I don't know what else to do. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!

A little more info would be helpful.

Year and make of truck?
4 wheel abs or rear only?
Any symptoms other than the light? Is the red brake light on as well?
What else have you checked and done?
Did you check for codes?

I am having the same problem, Ford diagnosed the problem as the ABS control module. They want $760.00 to replace it. I am thinking about purchasing one from a salvage yard. Can you tell me how difficult is it to replace and where it is located? Have you resolved your problem yet?

Its located under the master cylinder not very hard to get to but takes awhile to take apart. No my problem still hasn't been resolved. I was hoping my ford truck buddies would have some input on the matter. Anybody????????????

It could be many things, I would say find someplace with an NGS scanner (most likely a repair shop and chances are your going to have to pay to have them scan it, its a several thousand dollar tool) and have them pull the trouble code so we can narrow down the problem.

My guess would be its an electrical problem or a sensor, but without knowing what code its throwing I don't know of anyway to narrow it down.

Also when they pull the code have them reset it, to see if the light comes back on.

I've heard you can't replace the abs module without an abs dianostic computer. You need to run it through some special cycle to bleed it.

When the tree smashed the hood of mine it broke the abs controller... $125 at the junkyard.
