I recently bought a 'Keyless Entry, Security and Remote Starter System' for my 2003 F250 Superduty 7.3 4X4.
I checked with my local FORD dealer and the part number for the system was correct for the 2003 model. However, the pamplet in the box is for 2001/2002 model year.
What I need to know, is if the wiring colors for 2003 the same as for 2002, or do I need to order the newer codes from Ford? (I bought this system off EBay for a really good price).
Also, is there any additional parts I will need to install this kit?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
You may have to register, but it's free and the information there has never steered me wrong. They have a section with the wire color, location and function for most car stereos, alarms and remote starts, you should be good to go.
THANKS EnviroCon!! That is exactly what I was looking for. I had searched with Google, Yahoo, Ask and KartOO, but could not locate anything close to this. I kept all the pdf files and will be installing the remote system as soon as I have a few warm days in a row.
Again, thank you very much.
