I'm a little vauge on Flange Gaskets. I've been told that they are leaking and need to be replaced. So a couple of questions I have are
A) what are flange gaskets, I've never heard of them? B) how hard are they to replace? C) do I need to replace them right now, if my first project was to do the brakes and suspension. Can I get away with not doing them for a couple of months while driving 15 to 20 miles a week with them leaking?
I suspect you mean the Paper Axle flange gaskets between the housing and axle flange ?
This could have been posted in the drivetrain forum if this is what you are asking about.
They aren't necessary.. but I own the last remaining flange gaskets for a Ford 9", in Canada.
