Front end noise !

Somewhere, and remember I'm older and have brain farts,
there was a post about changing the bushing on the sway bar or something to the new poly type... To end the loose feeling under your feet.
Where is it, I've searched and can't find it.....

Also, flushing the power streering pump to fix the constant whine.. I can't find it either..

They must be hiding these real good or I've lost more grey matter than I thought.......

Thanks..

Yeah, I reccommend the energy suspension bushings. Buy them for the front and rear sway bars, INCLUDING the bushings that hold the bar to the axle. Talk about a tight ride...

I don't want to flush my brakes, it my power steering pump I'm concerned with.

I have also heard that energy suspension is the way to go.

In the mean time, while I am not towing anything, I have taken off my sway bar in front while I find a vendor. Jegs sells them but you've got to spec it from energy. I wish ipt or some other site would carry them.

amiller,

check out these two links one is for energy suspension with two part #'s, and the other is for jegs.

http://www.energysuspension.com/pages/fdt3.html

check part # 4.5186, or 4.5192

http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...10002_13009_-1

check out part # 355-5-5152g

i know that ford had severa different sway bar packages on the same trucks. so to make sure i got the right parts, i called energy suspension with the measurements of the od of the sway bar, the id of the eyes on the drop link, and if the drop link was double eye or single eye on one end and a stud on the other. they gave me the correct part number then i placed the order with jegs with the energysuspension part #. i recently cleaned out my garage and just threw out the box with the parts ticket..... sorry i couldn't give the part # i ordered.

I did not even attempt to order them myself, as there are SEVERAL different sway bar diameters, end link bushing sizes etc...I went to local off road shop, let them order and install front so they would get it all right. The rear I ordered from same shop, but did myself, as I think all rear sway bars are the same. Easy to do, be sure to torch out the old end link bushings, and beat them out w/ hammer. Lube new bushings and install. BE SURE TO LUBE THE BUSHINGS WELL W/ ENERGY SUSPENSION LUBE ONLY AS IT IS REALLY TACKY AND KEEPS THINGS FROM SQUEAKING! I bought a small tub of the lube extra for installing the rear, and ocassionally re-lubing the sway bar axle mount bushings.
