I just bought a set of injectors from NAPA. All 8 are the same part number. 2 are in slightly different colored boxes and have the letter "D" stamped in the nut used to tighten them. The other 6 have the letters "BB" stamed in this nut. The NAPA guys look at me with a blank stare when I ask them what is the difference, and say it's the same part number. DUH.
I vagley remember reading about this some where else and can't seem to find it. Does any body here know what these letters mean? I don't feel right about mixing these injectors. I have them looking to find 2 more with "BB" stamped in them. I was just curious what this meant. Thanks
if they are for your 94 i am pretty sure that you need the "G" stamped injectors for your turbo. i read about the other ones too, but can't rember what they stand for. Can someone freshen up our memories please.
did a little research and found that the "D" code is for pre 92.5 and "E" code is for post 92.5 and "G" code is for factory idi turbo, but cant find anything on "BB" code.
Oh Wow, Napa knows nothing about this. They just say it's the same part number. I definately need the "G" code. I had better have them dig a lot deeper. Thanks for responding. Oh and NAPA's part number is 2-17619, that is what they tell me is for a 94 factory turbo.
