Engine wine through cb radio...help!

I've installed my Cobra 18 WX ST II in my truck, but now I get engine wine through the cb as I'm driving down the road. I've adjusted my squelch to were it should be. As long as I'm not on the accelerator, no noise. When I accelerate or just drive down the road, the noise is there. I'm sure it's an issue with my ground wire. The power wire is connected directly to the battery.

Any suggestions on how to eliminate this problem?

Thanks,
Steve

connect the power wire to the accessory on the fuse box, should stop the noise.

Will this also work for my normal radio? It really picks up bad if I use a buddies ipod transmitter thingy... Same deal, when I accelerate it picks up the engine.

You could put a noise filter on the alternator.Be kind to all your electronics.

The alternator noise filter might be a good place to start, because you will have to
isolate the problem between your charging and ignition systems. Many times that
will eliminate the problem if your alternator is in good shape.

I stopped by our local RAdio Shack to see if they had one, but they didn't have any. I'll have to order one and see if it works.
