p0102 p132b p1408 codes

I was going into town yesterday and 5 mi down the road at the first stop light it suddenly sounded as if my turbo got louder. I headed back home and on the way home I did not have normal power. Took it for a drive today for trouble shooting and and under heavy acceleration I have a loss of power, hi turbo wine, and some black smoke. when getting out of the accelerator I get a lot of turbo farts.

I hooked her up to AE , pulled codes and did a KOEO and KOER
KOEO
P0102 Mas airflow circuit low input
P132b Turbo Boost Control A performance

KOER
P0102
P1408 Exaust gas recirulation flow out of test range

The tubro was replaced about 1.5yrs ago so I would not think it would be a turbo.(fingers crossed) New EGR a couple yrs ago and a bunch of other stuff including the HPOP 6 mo ago

Any ideals? Thanks

Pull the EGR valve Ed it sounds like carbon build up in the intake.Check the sensor plug on the intake snorkle to see if it is loose.

Hey Brickie, its been a long time.

I pulled the egr and it had a little build up on it but it was not to bad. I can cycle it with the AE software and it was working. I also have checked the hose on the maf/ intake and it was not stopped up. I have looked for leaks and so far have found nothing. Maybe you have some ideals or hints on all the places to look for leaks in the boost system.

I have only put about 5k on her sence i had a new HPOP installed. Is it possible they did not get something tight or lined up correctly.

The sensor is unplugged, back out to the truck you go Ed.MAF is in the intake before the turbo attached to the dip stick.A clean intake= a clean turbo this is good.

What do ya think it is? A bad MAF?

AE monitoring shows
MAF 0.00 lbs/min
MAF 0.00 mas air flow rate in volts
MAP 14 - 15 lbs at idle 23 - 24 at 3000rpm

I am, by no means whatsoever, an expert.

But it seems like this is the most likely problem. Without a functioning MAF sensor, the computer can't figure out EGR flow or where to set the turbo.

I'm pretty sure you shouldn't be getting zero's on your MAF. Your MAP looks about right. I'd check the MAF wires over really good before I changed it though.

Yea, try cleaning it and check for chafing on the wires if cleaning it doesn't work.

Thumbs up

I pushed the pin and resoldered the wire and ran AE again. Ran the KOER test and shows no codes. Then took her out for a test drive. WOW she is running great now. Problem solved.

Thanks dchamberlin and brickie . This is a great example of how this site works.
