Hormotic balencer
I am rebuilding a 1990 300 4.9 liter. and i am converting everything to V-belt. I was wondering if any homontic balencer will work for this motor or is the homontic balencer differernt.

When I rebuilt the engine in my 1982 F100 replaced my orginal one with one from pioneer, part number DA3003. It is a 3 groove v-belt harmonic balancer. Great quality too. The harmonic balancer on the 300 is not a separate piece from the pulley. I would imagine that you should be able to use one from any carbureted engine that came with v-belts. Any reason why your going with v-belts over the orginal serpentine setup that came on your truck?
