-I found the passengers side hub was bad, replaced it.
-Some ball joints were bad, replace four with moog.
-Drag link share sector tie rods ends were bad, replaced them.
-Saw bar is loose, it is off and awaiting new links.
-Everything is torqued to spec.
Every item replaced has improved the noise dramatically, but we're not done.
Passenger side is great.
Driver side makes a clunk when the suspension travels from bumps or pots holes. I am at a total loss.
Any ideas?
(I have used the search button and read everything).
oh yeah, can you jump on the bumper and make the noise? Or jack up the tire and put a pry bar under it to make the noise? Helps when chasing those things...
I bet you'll find when the new sway bar links go in the noise will disappear.
That is if you are doing poly bushing replacements.
If you just buy new OEM links you will continue to get the under driver's foot clunking.
The factory end link bushings are just too soft for the force of everything that goes on in the front end of these trucks.
I know it is hard to swallow that the rumbling clunking noise is from such a benign part, but usually it is the main offender of your symptoms.
Please post the results when new sway bar bushings and end links are installed.
i have that clunking on my truck, i replaced the sway bar links, and the sound dissapeared for about a month and then came back, it kinda sucks and does get annoying and the links that i used were from ford, so like austin said the factory links are no good. just thought i would say.

you can get them from energy suspension. they sell poly bushings to replace the oem bushing in the factory drop links. don't forget to replace the blocks on the axle that the sway bar goes through with poly bushings also.
you can go to tenergy suspension's website and size them yourself. but if your size is not listed you may have to call them, i had to. They will not sell directly to you, so i purchased mine from jegs. they didn't have the part number in thier online catalog, so i gave them a call and they ordered it for me.
