painting interior door panels

Has anyone painted their interior door panels or dashboard?If so how did it turn out?What paint did you use?

I painted the center armrest in my Altima with the plasic/vinyl paint I got from the parts store. It turned out great but the choice of colors is limited. As far as durability, it has been 2 months with no problems.

My brother, who was in the detail/carwash business said you can get color match paint at the detail supply store.

your standard automotive paint should be fine mate, providing that you use a plasti-prime first. depending how crazy you want to go with it, id recommend a layer or two of clear coat after. it helps when wiping the interior down. ive sprayed a few for friends and its worked a treat. haved even used primer filler on a couple, which really helps remove alot of the grain that the blowmould puts into them

On my 76 work truck I just rattle can primer every couple of years and
looks surprisingly good. I just use the light grey.
