Headlights will not turn off? Help :(

Headlights will not turn off? Help :(

2004 Ford F150 Lariat Screw.

Swith will turn on fogs, beams but will nto turn off lights. I can pull fuses to get them beams, and P lights to go off but when I replace them - nada.

I had to disconnect the battery and can find no burnt fuses.

Suggestions?

Do you have any automated functions on your truck like auto headlight turn-off type functions?

I do have autolamps. Tried that on the switch to no avail and keyless entry which will delay turn off lamps.

Specifically what I notice is the lights switch will activate fogs, go frm parking to full lamps, but when set to off the lamps (main and bulbs behind orange are on) seems the plate lamps in the rear stay on too.

keyless pad doesnt work (although battery is weak it wasn't dead)

I have now disconnected the battery since I could not start it and didn't want further drain.

I guess I'm old fashioned. I like the one **** to control everything. Pull it all the way out and they come on, push it all the way in and they go out.

Odds are that the autolamp sensor is wired to 2 relays, one for running lights and one for headlights.

Remove the relay for the headlights. Does it click when you remove it? Or do the headlights just turn off?
