lrd56, The camper special is an add on package to assist with items that an owner would use with camping, including but not limited to
Larger capicity radiator and alternater, twin batteries, extra wiring, extra capicity suspention, and other items.

Usually if there is Camper Special badging out side and in, tis safe to presume that you own a CS.

When all else fails you have a heavy duty truck. IMHO

don't camper specials have 390 engines with 2 fuel tanks and a built in tool box on the outside passenger side of the box along with heavier duty leaf springs in the back?

Oscar, The truck could have come with a 300 6 in it, the other things usually, but not always.

1967-1972 Camper Special Package

70 amp hour battery
oil and amp gauges
dual horns
deluxe fresh air heater
6" x 10" chrome extended Western mirrors
extra cooling radiator
extended tailpipe
camper wiring harness
heavier shocks (F350 only)
Camper Special emblems

My reference makes no mention of the 25 gallon frame mounted tank as part of the package.

A sliding rear window added to package around 1970. Everything else was optional.

To back up Numberdummy's info.

I think the passenger side tool box was optional. I had a 73 camper special without it. I had a 73 trailer special with it.
Dual tanks were optional, not included with the c/s option.

Mil1ion's link explains it best.

Peace
