Anyone know of an extra thick head gasket?? Reassembling a friends 300ci. It started with 9.1 pistons with .030 overbore and the head has been milled .060 . He wants to keep it at 9.0 or so to run regular gas. Has a fairly warm cam and the typical tube headers and 4bbl manifold. Sooo it is already breathing better and getting more into the cyl. than stock and that too will raise it a little.
The other option is to pull the pistons off and mill a bigger slot in top but since the engine was balanced that may throw it out some. Not to mention that time and effort for all that. How about a solid copper racing gasket??
I have never tried double gaskets and seriously doubt it would work.
Got to Flatlanderracing dot com and look in the headgasket section. They have a vendor that custom makes copper head gaskets to your specs for a very reasonable cost.
