If he can get 4k for that. I should get 30k for my UNI. That is if it were for sale
He'll get 4K for it, I would not be suprised to see it go over 6K. 78/79 crew cabs are pretty rare. This one should be pretty solid if it is an original TX truck. There are quite a lot of things that need to be redone, like the heater. It is also a camper special unless he added the badges on the front fender.
What I like is the "new grill and grill shell" he said it has. You can tell by the way it is bent up it is one of those cheap aftermarket shells!
I don't care much for the added lights in the bumpers either, they look kind of "hacked in"
The tail light trim is from a van and is not correct for the truck as well. Mirrors are wrong too.
The white paint on the A/C vent and key switch in the dash look good to.
Oh well, I could probably spend the day picking it apart but it should go well over 4K.

I know where I'm located, folks would be tripping over each other to get it for $4000. Trust me, I got into a bidding war locally when I purchased my 74 standard cab with a weak motor. Paid $5050 before the other 4 potential buyers finally gave up.
Check out the wiper **** ))))))))))))))))))))
He may get more than 4 grand but who ever buys it, will spend alot of time bringing the truck back to what it should be.
This four door stuff is over rated to me.
The "no front driveshaft, 4x4 untested" has me scratching my head. No mention of if it is a conversion or not. Having a 460 in it could indicate it was a 2wd in its previous life, unless swapped in at another time. Can anyone decode the door sticker to tell if a factory 4wd? VIN is F26SCEEB744, does that tell the story?
From first glance , The truck really looks awesome. After reading the other posts and looking at the pics, it really makes you wonder what the ACTUAL shape of the truck is in. Now, IMO, there are some "odd" things wrong with this truck. Ask yourself Why?
1. Trying to Fabricate different A/C heater controls
2. Missing Front Driveshaft
3. The screwed up wiper ****
4. nonworking fuel gauge.
5. sluggish motor
6. Reinforced Bed
7. Passenger Door lever not working
8. No radio
Now, I know not everything can be perfect when it is a project truck. But the outside looks really good and maybe he has a tight budget and everything comes with time. Those are just some wierd things wrong with the truck. When you look at those A/C heater controls, now that's a mess. What other things have been screwed up? IMO, I would really like to look at this truck in person before ever buying it. Take a magnet all around the truck to make sure there hasn't been any "backyard body work" to make it look good. If there is no rust and the body is in that good of shape, Hell I wouldn't hesitate in buying that truck, pending the price. But overall, nice looking truck. Just Beware......

Just curious. thanks,
jon.
the vin decodes as a 79 250 4x4 built in ontario with a 400 2V. I am pretty sure that it was a standard cab as well. I think that the 3rd # is what says that it was a standard cab.
I would be worried about whats under the paint. Looks like the dash was painted over, with no prep. (ignition switch painted, and not painted near the dash pad) But... if I didn't already have a project, and had extra money. It looks like a good truck to start on!
