Awww that sure is a nice piece Larry!! I've never had any luck setting one up tho!! I tried with one on a 460" brand X motor back in the late 70's..and went back to the T-Ram and two 4's.... the one I had was a Hilborn unit..but looked the same?

There was a guy in Hot Rod? that put a Hilborn set on a coupe that he drove on the street(sbc). Apparently with the proper set up, you can make them work on the street, but it won't be a "race" tune up.

Alot of guys buy them and convert to EFI with some simple mods. I just don't want to get into it, plus I like my dual quads! Besides, I just don't have another FE to put them on LOL!!!

I've spoken to a local guy with years of FE/SOHC/Injection racing under his belt(Kurt Neighbor) and he said they will work on my car. I just don't have the cash reserve to get everything I need. So it's time to cash out and use the money on a NEW crank instead!

Well I wish yeah luck on the sale!! Wish I had the spare change just to buy em and use them for a convo piece...in the shop!! They would look so good with some polished brass Stack ontop!! I love it!!

Why does the name Kurt Neighbor ring a bell in my head? Or maybe it thumped a rock?

Kurt used to run Funny car(SOHC powered back in early 80's). He now runs NMRA/NMCA etc. He used to run an outlaw(?) street stang, gave that to his bro/law to run in stick races with me(has Glidden sbf in it). He runs a injected cammer in '65 comet in pro nostalgia, plus runs 80's Cobra mustang with 427/lenco in stick races with me. I've known him for some time. He's based just north of me in N. Royalton, Ohio.

I've had the intake hang'n from a hook in my garage for a year now. The project really took a nose dive and now I just need some cash. I'd love to keep it around too...........someday I'll probably kick myself for selling it

Oh I think thats where I remember him from, running with Billy Glidden and Jim dove, I think he was also has some input with the new Glidden dove heads...Because I
"IF" I recall correctly he was running billy Glidden chambered heads on his hot rod?

How many seasons do you have on your Scat crank now?

Ya, he's in cahoots with Glidden(when he ran mustang for few years in NMRA). I'm sure he worked with Dove when he ran his cammer stuff.

I have 4 seasons on crank. Time to retire it and put in new parts. Might last forever? Maybe not? LOL!! Don't want to find out. It will find its way into blower car sooner or later.

Well, for the blower car. Cross bolt block, bigger crank, rods, pistons and then turn up the boost(12 lbs?) and make'r RUN!!! LOL!!

The wagon will just be same stuff.

Guess I should have put 2 and 2 together, but I didnt even look at the location. Just saw it and cut/paste in awe. As far as regret, that comes with the territory. You have to give to get. I've sold a lot of my toys, only to be able to inherit the greatest toy of all. Wife said I had to sell to keep, so I emptied half the garage to make room for my dad's truck. Wouldnt give it up for the world.
