V10 valvetrain question

Does the single overhead cam 99 F-250 V-10 have rollers that contact the cam or does the hydraulic lifter just press against the cam??

I think the lifter rides on the cam.

I just heard that there is a roller rocker that rides on the cam and pushes the hydraulic lash adjuster, then that pushes the valve.

between the valve head and lash adjuster is a finger follower that has a roller in it the the cam lobe runs on. all simular to the camshaft set up in the 2.3 4 banger from the pinto days. just that it has the roller now in the folower.

i'll try and dig up a photo out of the shop manual for you some time today and post it
