4x4 Leaf Spring re-arc
Curious if anyone has re-arced the springs on their slick 4x4? I would like to get a little more lift out of my 65, but it does not have the typical one piece spring with spring eyes/bushings at either end that I am used to seeing. Hard to explain but I'm sure some of you are familiar with the setup. The springs kinda pinch between a steel roller and dont seem to be "fixed" to the frame at the front.

Mercman, I have read many articles on re-arching, I believe it can be done successfully, but don't think it is as good of a job as replacement. I believe they relax back in time. IMHO

exacty as john said thay can and will go back to the ride hieght they were or werse. years ago i re-arched so springs for a 79 and within 6-7 months the dicided they didnt want to hold the load of the truck no more.mabe talk to some one at super lift or rancho and see if they could make ya your lift.

Your right guys, I've had springs arced before and they do sag after awhile, it's just the spring perches on these trucks are different and the springs only have an eye on one end. Probably hard to find aftermarket and didn't want to have to modify the frame. I might just take the whole truck into the spring shop and see what they can build for me.
