okay i stalled my instillation of my Alpinne IVA-w200 because i wasnt sure if i could bypass it but found out how too. My first question is if i bypass it during inspection will they be able to pick that up and my second question is should i go with this unit or go with the pioneer avicd-2... i kno the pioneer offers navigation system also but the picture on movies is better on the alpine. If i could have input from someone who is around the systems alot or has one of the 2 i would greatly appreciate it, thanks!
As I replied in the other thread - the TR7 is tiny and installed behind the radio. Also - they are not looking for video mods during inspections - the only time you will be at risk is if you get pulled over while video is being displayed on the screen.
As far as the Alpine Vs. Pioneer debate - Im an Alpine fan simply because I can walk up to one and make it work - even if I have never used it before. I have sold both since '94 and have NEVER found Pioneer to be user friendly.
