CPS failure?
Reading this site about CPS failure, makes me wonder, what is "in" a CPS that momentarly causes it to fail and then after you gather yourself up from the sudden motor stoppage and try to negoiate the heavy traffic to safetly get pulled off the side of the road, find that by turning the key to the start position, it fires right up again?
I've not seen many household light bulbs that when they burn out the element they will relight...(unless you shake it or tap on it). Just curious.

I have a photo sitting in front of me that i took out of my Diesel textbook, it was in the electronics unit. It is a diagram of a CMP and what it does. I have to get it uploaded so you can look at it. The CMP consists of a permanent magnet, a transducer (which can be intermittant), a signal conditioner, and a relay to send signal waves back to the PCM. It is a "Hall Effect" sensor.
