Check this out, i bought for around $70 shipped, and it's sick as hell. It's one of my favorite mods so far, and it didn't cost that much. I bought the Smoked one, but he also has the Clear ones, for you guys that have White ranger, that would look good. It's about twice as bright as the stock brake light and the cargo light is built it, so you guys that have newer ranger that didn't come with the cargo light, all you have to do it plug this in, and now you have one. I remember several months back this one dude posted on here selling an led 3rd brake light for like $200 and was all laughed at him. So this one is cool and cheap.
i got one, but i didn't get the smoked one.... i love it..... only problem for 2004 and up is that it doesn't come wired for the cargo lights... if you want the cargo lights you will have to run a jumper wire from the dome light to the cargo lights
I didn't know that, my friend bought the cargo light from the dealer about a year ago for his '03 Tremor for $50 and his truck was wired the same as mine and didn't have to run a jumper.
FoMoCo_RANGER, now that you mention it, there was a post a while back where we debated that I think...any third brake light should fit in FORM, not necessarily in function, from 93-present.
Yea, i'ld have to agree with that, because i took my 3rd light apart to reseal it, and when i took my grandfathers apart(perventitive maint.) to seal it, his was the same. and he has the 94
RangerPilot, that was me who started that thread and am still considering it. If anybody has access to a 93-94 and a 95-up please help some guys out and get a comparison for us. Thanks in advance.
I have a '91 Ranger and have been wanting to put a third brake light on the back of my bed cap. Does anyone have good suggestions on how to wire it? I don't wasnt to tap in to one of the brake light wires as the light will show a blinking red if i have that wire energized with the turn signal.

I started a thread on wiring in a brake-light on a cap in the electrical forum a week or so ago. Here it is, there's some info in there that should be relevant to your truck.
