How does that sound when you do that to the 6.0? I did it to a 93 Z28 I had and the cat echoed and sounded like crap. I set up a delete pipe on it. I like your idea if it doesn't cause the echo too much.
edit: Scratch that, I just realized what your doing. It's not just gutting the cat... Great idea!
