Chips/programers. question/locations

I tried to search, but It has been disabled unless you pay for a subscription of course..

Anyhow.. If you have a chip it should be piggybacked inside of your ECU correct? This weekend I was told that there was an Edge Juice chip in the truck I bought so I want to see for myself..

So where is the ECU?

Also does anyone have any experience with the Edge Attitude monitor for our trucks? I want to be able to switch the modes on the fly.. So when my wife is driving it around town I can set it to the best fuel efficent mode but if we want to get on it hard we can switch to a "performance" mode.

If anyone has any info I appreciate it. Thanx!

Well, the Edge Juice doesn't really connect to the PCM. (That's what it's called, Powertrain Control Module.) It is somewhat like how a "breakout box" works, where you unplug a certain connector, plug the edge products between them. I had the Edge Juice and Attitude. Sure it was nice when i had it. I stacked it with the Evolution eventually. Then sold it for a TS Performance chip, and the edge couldn't even touch it. I dont know how i got by with it. Hopefully it will get even better next week with some love from DP.

However, you don't need to pull the PCM.

So where should I go looking for the "breakout box" to see if I have it?

Also the PO gave me a diablo chip for it as well.. Not installed. I'm trying to think of the best way to go for my needs..

The truck does have a switch that goes red when you turn it on, but will come on by itself when I'm on OD and just cruising between 1-2k. I believe this is the TC lock. I would like to find out what controlls this as well..

Also there is a switch that once flipped on and you turn off the ignition it will keep the truck running for a few seconds.. I've heard the term "turbo saver" I've had experiences with Turbo timers in the import car world and would rather have one of those cause I can preset the time of how long it runs..

Thanx again for the input.
