TS performance 6 chip

Looking at chips for my 96 f250. I read diesel power all the time and in their 7.3 upgrades the got the ts performance 6 chip. i was wonding if anyone has it ? is it any good? and what modes do you have on yours? ive been trying to price them out and what i want for the modes but most places only offer 2 choseable modes but in diesel power they have modes like economy and heavy tow. i want to get modes like that. but thanks in advance

i have it, love it. egt's are pretty good, amazing power jump from stock with the tunes and my transmission ****s alot smoother through the gears. i just have stock, high idle, 50hp, 75hp, 100hp, and 150hp. keep it on 50 most of the time. gave me 2mpg more in the city.

Don't buy a canned tune ts chip. Go with a custom tuned from one (These are just a few, many more) these tuners.
Gearhead
Power Hungry Performance
Total Diesel Performance
Brian's Truck Shop
Swamps
Beans
DP tuner
And there are many more. These are some of the popular ones.

I'm running gearhead at the moment and ran php before. Both great tunes. Your looking at around 400 to 550 depending on where you go with. Just email the ones you like and go from there.

Easy as that. Stay away from ebay on this matter.

Totally agree with that. I have a TW (total diesel performance) with: stock, econo, heavy tow, street, extreme and high idle. Im testing the tow setting to see what MPG gives.

One thing to note: DP Tuner chips can only be tuned by DP Tuner. They have the new F8 that is capable of having other tuners' tunes on it, but from what I have heard the other tuners have been reluctant to release their tunes for use on the F8.
If you get a TS style chip, it can be tuned by any of the major tuners. I have Tyrant Diesel tunes ready to go in the truck this weekend.
The chips plug into the PCM behind the e-brake and yes the **** is used to switch tunes. A quick search will likely result about a bazillion threads about chips, tunes, installing, etc.

Got my TS 6 position about a year ago from Advancediesel.net. Only paid $259.00 then. likely more now, though. Made a big difference. I got same settings as MDT1992

The best way ive heard it put is, canned tunes are like one size fits all clothes. They may fit most people, but it wont look good. Same with trucks and chips. Some have great results others are so so.

I had the canned tunes and all I got out if the was a real touchy go pedal, hard shifts and high EGT's. I got PHP tunes now and most likely about to change to BTS
