Hey 460pu, I've been very, very interested in the Gibbon Fiberglass kit for my '51. Do they require or recommend any frame reinforcement such as boxing plates? Also do they make any reference to welding the crossmember in place as well as bolting it? Thanks!

The Gibbons website is www.gibbonfiberglass.com.
They list the crossmember kit for $575 that "includes hardware." They also provide the following donor car info: 1975-79 Chrysler Cordoba, 1973-74 Plymouth Satellite, Fury, GTX, 1973-78 Dodge Charger, Magnum, Use 1981-83 Dodge Aries, Plymouth reliant, Dodge passenger car rack and pinion when required.
