Exhaust Question
I have an '06 Sport with the 3.0. The truck is completly stock except for looks, and i was thinking about changing the exhaust. I do not have the money right now to do a cat-back and i was thinking about changing out the muffler with a glasspack. Has anyone ever done this, and if you did what are the pros and cons.

con's, it will just sound like a pissed off ranger. i would have and replace with a factory replacement as its much easier. i made my own true duel exhaust for my 3.0 and it was worthless so i switched it to a single in dual out at the muffler

I put a glasspack on mine and lost all low end torque. If you want a cheap muffler to go with, I recomend a Thrush turbo muffler. For some reason the exhaust on our trucks necks down from 2.25" to 2" at the flange behind the cat. If you replace the 2" pipe with 2.25" and add a turbo muffler, you will notice a definate power increase. I had a local shop bend up a pipe to exit in the stock location and bolt on to the flange behind the cat. With the cost of the muffler and having it installed was around $125. Good luck!
