clearance lights with a visor
i have a lund visor and want to install lights now. when i bought the visor i thought i saw 2 different ones one for lights and one without is there a difference and can they be put on even though the visor wasnt for lights

i don't think you can just get lights for the visor that dont have them already installed. I dont even think that they make a light kit for the visor, but if they did I would imagine it would be a chore to put them because of where they are mounted. You could always install cab lights in the truck itself. I personally like the look of them check out this recent thread that goes through suddestions and details on how to install them from removing the roof liner to making templates for the holes:

I can't be too specific without seeing or knowing the actual visor you have, but off the top of my head I would think that you could install clearance lights on top of the visor, but it would look funny if you used the OEM style ones, and then you would have the mounting screws and wires all exposed on the underside of the visor, unless it is double walled.

Both visors will fit trucks that have factory cab lights installed on the cab roof or after the fact. The one visor you saw has the lights installed on the visor itself for those that don't wanna install their own cab lights on the roof.
