Any 'free' mods?
I have an 05 F550, and just wondering if there are any free mods that I can do to this truck. It's the 6L diesel, and has low km's, I don't want to chip it because it's my work truck, and it will blow up with a chip! LOL.
Thanks guys!

Sure . . .
There are many free mods depending on what it is you want to do. A few examples are:
High idel mod for running heater/AC while stopped, mostly thru up fitter switchs
Fog lamps on when you want them Mod
Seat belt chime disconnect
Key in Ignition disconnect
Foodad Mod for greater air filter intake
Headlight chime disconnect
Heated mirror disconnect
Harpoon fuel tank
These are few if they interest you. Check out the tech folder at the top of this thread as well for more challenges!

K . . .
Zoodad, Foodad, you cut a hole in the plastic, sorry for the confusion but the name makes no sense. You can't search anyway so it is a moot point.
How did it get named anyways?

zoodad was the name (handle) of the guy who came up with the mod. He is a TDS.com member.

Okay,
You cut a hole in the plastic? Which piece, how big and where about should the hole be located? And what will this do? Make more turbo noise?
Thanks,
Trevor

Thanks,

Look at the pic in my gallery under Air Horn Mod. It is behind the grill on the drivers side. I didn't do paticularly pretty cut out but since it didn't show I didn't really care.
Argument is it allows more air to flow to the air intake.

Cut it as big as you dare!! Removal of the grill and a cordless drill w/hole saw or dremal tool is all that is required.
