Please welcome two new members - ibuzzard and brighteyez. ibuzzard has already posted several times and has a 59 work truck. He lives south of San Jose.

brighteyez has a new to him 76 F250 with a 460/C6 and lives in the Fresno area. I hope both ibuzzard and brighteyez will post a bit more about themselves.

Well, whoever the heck you are, Welcome!

It's nice to see the ranks growing a bit. Did you guys put yourselves on the Frapper map?

Sorry, Nighteyez, no disrespect intened. There was a song about brighteyes that keeps floating through my head - I sort of remember it but have yet to find the words.

Please post some more about yourself - like what do you do, what you want to do with your new to you truck.

No disrespect taken. )

What do I do? I am a tech support agent for a well known Japanese computer company. As for my truck, I plan on buying the Edelbrock performer cam, intake, and carb. A set of headers, to compliment them, and maybe do a valve job on the heads. However, it looks like the heads were recently been done, so maybe not. I will check to see if they need the smog bumps removed and do that. I would like to add electric fans, a trans cooler (it has an oil cooler already) and a shift kit to the C6.

My neighbor is going to replace the motor mounts (one is broken, so might as well replace them both) and install a set of 1990 Mustang bucket seats, (with my right knee problem, I need to be as far back as possible to be able to operate the gas/brake pedals).

My neighbor bought a 1969 GMC half ton pickup with a cab high camper top on it which he does not want. So I will put that on. Add a carpet kit and then save my pennies and dimes, and get the truck painted metallic blue. I will also add an alarm and a Sony stereo and speakers.

This is going to be my toy. It is too heavy and geared wrong for decent gas mileage, so I will either keep my Rabbit as my "drive to work vehicle" or sell it and buy another economical car to get me there. This will be used for camping, hauling junk to the junkman, or engine/car/truck parts from the boneyards.
I will try and get some pics of it tomorrow and post them. )
