Leaking Radiator

I'm stumped on this one, I purchased a 94 F-250 with a 460 last May. Haven't had a single problem with it. Did all the fluid changeouts and flushes, the truck runs great. No leaks or anything, here's the problem, I live in Montana, and needless to say it gets a little cold up here. The truck didn't have a block heater, so I installed one. Now I notice a antifreeze puddle under the truck, nothing coming from the block heater, but I didn't have a leak before I put it in. looks like the leak my be coming from where the tank joins the with the core, but why didn't it leak before? Any help or suggestions would be appriciated.

If you had a sudden change in temps the side seals can leak from seal shrinkage. Often occurs when temps drop radically or overnight.

the temps have been dropping pretty low at night here, so could this be the cause? I guess there is no way to stop the problem then?

If you have a good radiator shop you can get your side tanks resealed or you can buy a new radiator. When you see the puddles are they in the right or left front of the vehicle?

That is likely the problem then. If you shine a flashlight up from the bottom in the morning you will likely see the coolant collected on that lower corner.

Okay, thanks for help, I think I'll wait and see if it gets worse, and then go from there.

OK, well it could last for years like that, or all at once dump on you. Good luck.
