Changing frames

Has anyone ever changed a 1978 body with a 1988 ford body Im planning to buy a 1978 ford bronco but was wondering if my 1988 ford truck body would fit on the 1978 frame.

well I know the beds will interchange fine, I would bet the cabs will except for maybe up front where the radiator support bolts on?......I would try it.....I would also like to know if they do after someone finds out!

I had a buddy back in highschool who put an 80-86 body on a 79 frame. He had to alter some body mounts, but it wasnt all that extensive.

You'll probably have to make new body mounts, but there shouldnt be any MAJOR problems with it.

well obviously it will be shorter, but he didnt say he was puting the bed on too, just the cab. I'm geussing hes going to tube the rear.

The front portion of the 78 frame is narrower than the 88. It's certainly not a bolt on deal.
