I just called into work, as the weather is about to get messy here. A big dose of snow would be a lot better than what we're getting.
I sit here looking out the window, watching the rain fall. It's 32*F on the nose, and I watch as the raindrop slowly makes its way to the bottom of the window screen. Then, about half way down, it stops. They're creeping to a slow stop and just crystalizing. It's really kind of neat.
I figure we'll see some snow start falling after this freezing rain stuff quits. Gosh, freezing rain is dangerous. You can learn to drive on snow relatively safely, but don't even think about trying to make ice work.
Anyway, just thought I'd ask if anyone else is doing the same thing I am.
I am just watching it thru the window also while the wife is having fun cooking but I see lots of cars going by. It is just starting to accumulate on the trees. Good old KC ice storm... Nothing unusual here. Happens every year with a real bad one every few years. Lost three trees and two vehicles damaged in the last one where we had 2 inches of ice. Most people have aux heaters or generators etc etc. We don't get written up for it because it is normal here.
H-mmmmm--staring out the window at snowflakes---FightnIrsh--I could probably do that if you'd send me some of what you're smoking!!!---Jeesssttt Kiidddiiinnnggg
Yeah we are supposed to get some of that yet tonight, not totally abnormal around here either. I can drive on snow ok, but I had driving on ice, funny thing is my job is driving, and I haven't not made it in the past 3 yrs, but if it's too bad I can stop.
