why lift it for 38's, they can easily be had with some fairly mild fender trimming

Because like I said in the beginning, it's not gonna be wheeled hard. The truck is way too nice to do that to. It's basically going to end up looking like a stock truck, thats just been lifted.

not to hi-jack, but when you buy brakelines with a lift, do you need one package per wheel, or do two come in a package. i was looking at these, and i know theres a picture, but i wanna be sure.

Im running 9" coils with and 5" Blocks in the rear....Mint set up...Never had an issue.....I think the Superflex/Superlift coils I bought are nice and soft and with the big block in the Bronco they have dropped to more like a 7" lift. They were bought as 8.5-9"..Truck had sat level.....Ok now I went crazy.......I did a shackleflip/reversal in the rear and netted about 7"......Then I dropped the front coil buckets and shock buckets for another 3 1/2"....Total of 12 1/2" of lift..I wouldnt try this one with out a serious plan.....My wheelbase went from 105 to 100....And with the front the driveshaft angle is not gonna happen without some serious modding.....Many other issues with 12.5".......I like the fender trimming and 6" lift 38s........

yeah i have a 78' f-150 also. i was thinking about doing the 9'' lift myself but decided the 6inch will be plenty. when you start going about a 6'' lift, your headed for disaster. the higher you go the more money/time/expirence you'll need to put it in. if you go to Jackit.com you'll see some lift kits there that might suit your fancy. thats where i think im buying mine. their package includes EVERYTHING you'll need to get it done. extended brake lines, drop pitman arm, adjustable track bar, shocks....all that wonderful crap. check it out.....im going with the deluxe package....it seems a little pricey though. i called them and asked what brand makes their kits because it didnt even tell you. i found out they use mostly skyjacker, which is nice. good luck--ryan

one package for the front includes the 2 brake lines... one for each side. the rear package is just the one brake line.

if you have a reputable hydraulic shop near you you might just run by there and ask how much they can do some brake lines for you. i just got mine back and they are great. they are exactly the length i need and they put the correct ends on for me, no adapters. got all 3 (2 front and 1 rear) for $70. the only complaint (hardly a complaint, for lack of a better word) i have is they dont come coated with anything to protect the braids from getting dirt in them. i have many times that it wont matter but brakes arent something i want to toy with. so... thanx to some suggestions on here (sorry i can remember the name) i went to lowes and bought a can of Plasti-Dip for $5 and coated my lines in black rubber coating! it turned out frakin awesome! i cant wait to finally put them in this weekend!

you can always reverse the shackles or simply move the hangers down,if you reverse the shackles then you can lenthen your shackles, but a 6" longer shackle will on yield 3" of lift. you can also run traction bars and not lakewoods
