Looking for the biggest tire size I can use on my F-150 Supercrew 4wheel Drive without a lift kit. I currently have stock 17" rims with 285's. Someone once told me I could use up to 33's without any lift kit. Any suggestions?
Thanks guys for all the input. I knew someone had already asked this question, but I couldn't find the thread. I spent about two hours looking for it, but the site is pretty big. Drj, nice truck dude!
I run 33x12.50-17 coopers with out any trouble, no lift. As far as I know drj 315's are considered 35x12.50 equivalents. Fine lookin truck too. What fender flares / fenders are those? Nice touch.
02 F-150, I had a '98 extended cab 4x4 f-150 and ran a set of 305/70/16's with no lift and no rubbing, even when we went out wheeling. If I could get my scanner to work I'd post a picture.
DRJ777: What kind of fenders are thoes, and where did you get them?
Same with the lights...
And is that a Fabtech bumper, or just their skidplate?
Thanks dude!
YOU ARE KO-RECT SIR!!
it IS the FABTECH pre-runner bumper...i was considering a TRUER pre-runner bumper - but this one uses the factory bumper so it looks a bit cleaner...as for the fenders...i bought her that way - she has COBRA wraparound highback seats - stainless gauge cluster - and stainless door sills - and actually - the hood/fenders AND the bed are all glass - only the cab and tailgate are metal.
shes got a set of BILSTEINS all the way around - (sooo smooth in the desert @ high speed!!!) - but recently - i overheated one of the front shocks and it fused the BOOT to the SHOCK...so i will be going to a dual shock (with bypass res.) long travel setup all the way around in the near future...but oh how she LOVES to run in the desert.
heres my future plan for her...DIXON BROS RACING in one of the only places ive found that actually makes a quality kit specifically for the 97-03 4x4 150...http://dixonbrosracing.com/images_f150supercrew.htm
drj
ps - when i say quality kit - i dont mean the rest are crap - but most LIFT kits arent built with PRERUNNING in mind - and actually - this 150 is only a couple inches taller - but - it DOES have 18" of travel front and rear with 3" piston coilovers with bypass resevoirs (keeps the shocks cool!!) - their kit widens the front by 8" and has a bed cage for the rear...VERY COOL!!!
these guys race this stuff - so its the real deal...not for show!!!
