please leave a brief detailed description of where you park your vehicle, does it have a alarm? people who brag about their expensive stereos, and put huge kenwood stickers on their windows are just asking to get ripped off. and no matter how hard you try driving through my neighborhood blasting whatever the latest garbage jungle music is dosnt make you cool.
im with old rust bucket one this one, i'd rather hear my glasspacks then most of the garbage on the radio now days. my 96 came with a aftermarket pioneer cd head unit that sounds fine with the speakers that are in there. since my taste in music ranges from classic rock to mid 90s grunge i dont need anything more then what ive got.
if i got the extra money to throw around i'll put it into one of my motors, something worth it.
my 86 dosnt even have a radio just a hole in the dash, but longtube headers and packs sing a song sweeter then any stereo ever could. With one tip out each side i'll gladly blast it straight into your window, let ya hear some real bass.
Yes it has an alarm, no there are no stickers on the car. It is a clean install with no wires showing and the head unit is a detachable face, so looking into my car will tell you nothing of what I have inside. I turn down the radio anytime I enter any neighborhood, because I don't want to be one of those jackasses who blares the music in a residential area day or night. Oh, and I don't listen to the bass because I want to "look cool," I listen to it because it makes all the music sound so much better. You like rock, have you ever heard Mudvayne, Mettalica, Guns and Roses, or Rammstien on a car with bass? Why don't you give it a try? My bass blew out one time and for about a month I had regular speakers...It wasn't the same, the music sounded hollow. Why don't you give it a try and get back to me, until then, don't slam something you don't know about. Thanks.
My Kraut go-kart has a sub-woofer in it, not very powerful, but it does make a difference.
When I started driving in '69, the AM radios and reception were so weak I didn't even know what a bass sounded like 'til I seen one in person.
Yea, good move on the volume. Man, I don't know what these boys is thinking with it up so's it hurts. I just lean on the horn or rev the motor if the pipe is near their window. My hearing is bad enough from what I done to it without a 3rd party contribution.
Ok, I'm from the country, live and work on a grain farm, and i own 3 trucks. Even with all that, my Dodge 2500 cummins, that has stacks and is putting down around 550 horse has 2 12 inch subs and an amp behind the seats. No i dont listen to that head banging crap, but that bass really brings music alive when you have it. Even on country music, which is what i usually listen too. But to each his own, I'm not gonna rag on anybody else for what they want. But old rust bucket, your talking about kids being dumb these days from tv and stuff, well your spelling skills sure arent the best either......
lol is it the bass that really bothers people or just the style of music, i cant stand listening to bass with 50 cent behind the music, but metallica, dave mathews, audio slave, alice in chains, etc.... the bass sounds pretty good, it does bring the music alive concert like. to each is own, put your windows up till the light changes. im respectable when coming into residential areas or red lights i wish most people were, but this is the land of the free and its up to the popo to do something about it.
