Yeesh! No thanks. I've been in the single digits (F), never in the negatives. I wouldn't mind some snow with the freeze that's expected here later in the week...it won't happen though. Once every 5-10 years maybe and not much at that. I'd even settle for an nice layer of ice.

Yeah, you can keep the negatives up that way.

Freezing by the end of the week, going swimming tomorrow. Gotta love Texas.

We have a cold front here. It's 47ºF; feels like 46ºF.

Today's high in Norfolk will be 66F and tomorrow will be 69F. Every few winters it gets blistery cold here, nothing like what you guys get though. I recall a time or two recently where we've been into the single digits but the last time we were in the negatives was in 1985 at -3F.

It's interesting how environment can affect psychology and social development.

Why do latin-types have a tendency to more extroverted, even confrontational, social interactions? Partly because they can afford to. If you get into an argument with the family, it's no big deal, 'cause you can go outside to get away from them.

Northerners, on the other hand, more known for being more staid and reserved. Because, trapped in the house 6 months a year, you MUST get along.

It is in the 70's right now (Texas) and I have yet to wear a coat this year, but that is about to end tomorrow when an Arctic front gets here. I'll say goodbye today to my rocking chair on the back porch for a while.

Yes, buy you'll be saying hello to that same rocking chair real soon, as we all know, that as you get older, time seems to fly by quickly.

So it is safe to assume you will soon be "off your rocker" ?

He's already there!

It's pretty cold today here, too. I think I'll have to wear a jacket.

Yep! Funny how the temp doesn't reflect what it feels like.

Ditto hear except the visibility is only about a 1/2 mile right now.
