I have a 2003 f250 superduty and i would like to know if I can bypass the delay to shut the interior lights off when I shut the door after removing the key from ignition. If the key is in the ignition the light will shut off with the door closing. I would like to do that with the key out also. Any idea where or what relay??
If the owners manual has no way to change it(programming something), then you are out of luck. There is a module that controls all of that, and the timing is inside of it. If you have door ajar lights and a security system, it's all tied together.
Body control module. It moves around year to year, but most years it was behind the driver's seat in the back cab wall. It controls most body functions such as locks, windows, seats, etc.
Yeah, I know the original post is ancient and the OP hasn't been seen in over a decade but I'm bored this morning... Since the FNG resurrected it and there are several posts with information that doesn't address the concern...

It is ALWAYS important to identify WTF you're asking about and it's usually a damned good reason to explain why you're asking...

The instrument cluster on the OP's 2003 version controls the courtesy lamps. Other years may or will be different.

No, too old (by a couple of generations).

FWIW... Key in or out of the ignition shouldn't make any difference, the entry/exit courtesy lights are triggered off the combination of the ignition switch and the door ajar switch(es).
It would be necessary to rewire the circuit so the interior lighting relay in the instrument cluster runs off the switched ignition feed instead of the cluster's internal electronics or just bypass that relay to achieve what the long-gone OP wanted. Bypassing it wouldn't be too hard, you'd just have to cut a wire or two and then add an external relay.
