Speakers

I'm looking to replace all the factory speakers in an 03 excursion. When looking at Crutchfields it says there are no replacements available. Will 6x8s fit in the factory holes? Maybe the issue is depth of the speakers. Also, I was thinking about using seperate tweeter mounts up front. Has anyone tried that yet and if so what did you use. Thanks.

just for the info, all 6 speakers are 6x8's. i replaced my front speakers with infinity reference 6812cf. i replaced both rear sets with rockford fosgate 1682c. these are by no way the best speakers out there. but i picked them out because of the cheap prices and the different sounds that i wanted in the front and rear of the truck. you can also fit any 5x7 size because they use the same mounting holes.

Racer,
Thanks for the info. How do you like your infinitys? I was thinking using some infinitys to build a sub. Thanks for the input!
