Hey,
I know there is a thread on this somewhere, but I can't find it and I cant search for it. If someone could tell me how much it weighs, or can find the thread, I'll be very happy. I love this place!
I have a link to a chart that shows weights of several engines of various makes if a supporting member wants to get it from me and post it. Last time I tried to post a helpful link I got a big fat warning from the admin.
according to the chart, the 460 weighs 640 with no accessories.
look at the load rating on your tires... the truck itself will take more though... my grandfathers f150 had 2500 lbs of grain in it one time and it was fine... that much in shingles a couple times... not saying it was strictly legal or safe or sensible to load it that much but theyre pretty tough trucks... the shingles had to travel 90 miles- and did no problem
wow, I have Parelli ATR's. How much does the entire truck way? A 1995 F350, with a 460 motor, with a single cab 8 foot bed? Is it 7,400lbs with a max load?

4x4 or 2 wheel? the tires you have dont have great load rating... i think 2300 total... and your truck will weigh around 5500 if its 2 wheel, and around 6500 as a 4x4... so you could carry about 1200 lbs safely in the rear with those tires

I guess I am just perplexed. I always thought this truck weight more than 4,000lbs. so lets put it this way, looking up some numbers, it says my dads 1999 f150, with a 4.6 triton v8, with an extended cab 8 foot bed, is only 250lbs lighter than my 1995 f350 with a 8 foot bed, 460 ci motor in her? Does that sound right?
the one i was looking at was a c rated tire not e... still a pirelli at, but on the low end.. it was the only one that came up when i searched the place im getting my tires from- bfgoodrich all terrain ta/ko 37" for my 78 f250 4x4... so you should be able to handle a 3500 lb payload... not saying it would be safe for the brakes... but the rest of the truck should be able to handle it fine
