Warming up Before Taking off

I am lucky, my truck is parked in a garage most of the time so I don't have to scrap windows but I do plug it in. Usually I let my truck run until the high idle kicks in then I head out for the road. The temp gauge is moving by the time I hit the highway but I take it easy for the first few miles until the tranny shifts into overdrive.
