i know its probably the wrong room but has anyone installed 6x9 speakers there are not very many 3 way 5x7 s out there

It's doable, but you will have to cut the open bigger. However, I think a good set of components, intregrated or not, will sound better and be easier to install.

I put the Alpine 5x7/6x8, (they are actually 5x7's with 6x8 mounting tabs) component sps series in the doors and the Alpine 6x9 3 way speakers in the rear doors ,and yes as said above you do have to cut the holes larger , sounds great , I own a car audio store so its easy to go to the stock room and grab a pair of each to compare! , they do sound better with more low end than the smaller driver , Craig.

MB Quart components in the door, 5X7 MB's in the rear. JL Audio stealth sub box (in place of center console). Sound pretty good.
