Intake spyder...

Where can I get my hands on an early '99 intake spyder? I thought that I had one coming and the deal fell through. I only found 1 place so far that says he can get one but he wants $200. Sounds high, am I wrong?

I was thinking it might be possible to take the stock y-intake from my 97 and cut it in half. Use the turbo connection and add some pipe for one side and take the lower half and add some pipe to it for the other side. Funny how when you want to get something done, you think up odd ways of accomplishing it...

Banks has a real nice setup that I jsut called to get prices on and just for the turbo (intake) oulet pipe and the twin ran intake manifold they want $309 shipped. Holy Crap I say! Needless to say I told them I would try to come up with something else! I have heard you can get the whole pipe kit for $400 or maybe it was $500 BUT ARE YOU KIDDING ME!

time to call ford!
