I've got an 86 f-250 with a 460ci engine and can't seem to get rid of the squeeky belt sound. I'm not entirely sure it's the belts however it seems to be because of the intermitent nature of the sound. The belt or belts squeek only when under load and not while idling or decelerating. I've replaceed the belts and have used belt dressing and this has done little to solve the problem. Some of the noise may be form a faulty smog pump which seems to go out every two years or so however that may be a different problem.

Are you sure it's the belts and not something like the water pump or power steering unit? I have the same combo in my truck as you and it's always the power steering unit. I've gone through two this year alone.
One thing you can do to find the squeek is take a l-o-n-g screwdriver or broom handle and place one end on the water pump and the power steering unit while the engine is running and put your ear on the handle so you can isolate the sound. If it is squeeking, the screwdriver will act like a stethoscope and you'll be able to tell if the bearings are going out. Just be very very careful.
I've got the same problem, it only squeals under a load or hard acceleration. I replaced the belts, tried running 1 belt instead of 2 on the PS pump incase they were different lengths. I replaced the water pump, and the PS pump is still fairly new. I am not using the smog pumps either. I would agree with hoss though that it's most likely the PS pump, but it still works just fine so I am not too worried about it.
I may have been looking in the wrong place! I've tried tightening the belts as much as I could without doing damage to the bearings, I'll look at my ps pump and see if that's it!
