hi
i have a 1954 f100 and im having problems lining up the front sheet metal and hood the front end has been clipped i just want to make sure that i have the radiator core support at the right height in relation to the front cab mounts any help anybody can give me will be greatly apreciated
You could put all the front end sheet metal together then put a jack under the radiator support and adjust the height until the hood fits right. Then leave the radiator support a little low and then add shims to get a exact fit.
gee ooh,
Page 238 of the '56 F100 manual has a frame chart. Using the top of straight section of the frame as a baseline, the front end 'dip' is listed as 2.75". That is the difference in elevation between the top of the front frame rails and the top of the center frame rails.
Hope this helps in some way.
Adios,
Brett
well i finally got to look at the measurements on my frame in between boyscouts and soccer practice and i was a inch to low on the radiator support i put spacers in and the front end looks great.
thanks to i short ranger pat and bhabben for all the help
